The traditional relationship between businesses and consumers is changing. Consumers today are increasingly spending their money with brands aligned with their values and belief frameworks. Does a business require masks or not? Is the food organic, vegan or gluten free? Do they treat their employees fairly? Do they pay a living wage? Are their products sustainable? Do they source their materials in an ethical manner? Are their leaders tweeting offensive messages? All of these things are influencing consumers and altering buying habits.
