Vodafone has published its second annual M2M Adoption Barometer – a global survey of the machine-to-machine market – and pegs Asia Pacific to lead global adoption rates over the next two years. Nearly three-quarters of all Internet of Things devices are susceptible to getting hacked or compromised, according to a recent study. According to ABI Research, the installed base of active wireless connected devices will exceed 16 billion in 2014, about 20 percent more than in 2013. The number of devices will more than double from the current level, with 40.9 billion forecast for 2020. Read Original Content
