IDG News Service reports AT&T has experienced a security breach that allowed employees working on behalf of a smartphone unlocking service to access personal information, call records and Social Security numbers of customers. Read Original Content

A new report shows the extent of cyber attacks launched over the past 12 months. According to data protection research firm Ponemon Institute, 110 million Americans, which is equivalent to 47 percent of adults in the United States, had their personal information compromised by hackers over the time period. Internet security firm McAfee Labs said it identified 17,000 new forms of mobile malware targeting Android-based devices during the second quarter of 2013, a 21 percent increase compared with the 14,000 new unique strains identified in the first quarter. Read Original Content

Baidu Mobile Security recently received a 100 percent rating in protection against malicious Android apps, above the industry average of 97.7 percent. It also received perfect scores for both protection ability and for usability. Additionally, Baidu Mobile Security was awarded one bonus point for its added security features such as its call blocker, message filter and smart anti-fraud. Read Original Content
