A new study from Juniper Research indicates NFC technology will facilitate transactions valued at $74 billion by 2015, as NFC is increasingly used to pay for goods in store, and for transport ticketing. This is over treble the estimated value of this market in 2011. Read Original Content

Intuit is extending its mobile commerce strategy with a new deal to acquire shopping application AisleBuyer. According to reports, Intuit and AisleBuyer have been piloting an integration of the app’s mobile check-out technology with Intuit’s products. Read Original Content

A new report from KPMG predicts that mobile commerce will grow by 97 percent per year over the next three years, with revenue from mobile commerce expected to hit £591 billion by 2015. Read Original Content

mFoundry recently announced Conestoga Bank has successfully deployed its mBanking mobile banking solution. mFoundry's mobile banking solution is now used by nearly 10 million users across more than 650 financial institutions nationwide, including one-third of the top 50 banks in the U.S. Read Original Content

Authentify, a Chicago-based software company, has introduced a free app that people activate on their computers and smartphones to link to their online bank accounts. The Royal Canadian Mint has invited software developers to make digital payment applications using MintChip, an R&D phase technology that will only be available to challenge participants. Goodwill of Greater Washington has updated its free mobile application to allow customers to shop its four online channels: eBay.com, Amazon.com, Half.com and Shopgoodwill.com.
